Random Tuesday

It’s random Tuesday time. Here’s a stream-of-consciousness about the latest goings-on:

——————–

You can catch me now on Facebook. Just do a search for Eric Doggett.

——————–

Heading to Florida to visit my mom this weekend. This should be interesting as it will be the first time we will be traveling on a plane with both boys. B-Man is with me, and Lisa will watch TD. We have some funky contraption that lets Brandon sit in the airplane seat (vs. a car seat) and still be strapped in good. It’s something that just came out recently I believe. If we try to put Brandon in a car seat, he’ll kick the seat in front of him the whooooole way.

——————–

Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I picked up one gift so far! Usually we are done with 90% of the shopping by the first week in December, but probably not this year. Some baby thing or something.

——————–

The writer’s strike is starting to show it’s effects. Last night there was a commercial for the season finale of Heroes – in December! I don’t know how they will gloss over several months of planned plot points. Watching that show week to week is confusing enough.

——————–

One of the big movies to see next month for me is the new National Treasure movie. I loved the first one, and cannot wait to see the new one. It’s like the ‘Indiana Jones’ of today.

Christine + Erik

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving and have enough leftovers to last until Christmas!

Friday I photographed Christine and Erik’s wedding in Austin. She’s Vietnamese, and so there were cultural aspects to the wedding that were fun to learn about.

Moments before the wedding:

Great cake-topper!

Here Christine has changed into a red dress which signifies good luck.

These shoes reflect pretty much everything!

Christine’s dad was a lot of fun. Here he’s showing off his moves to a little boy, who’s not so sure of it all.

I love this shot – here he looks at his daughter during the first dance.

A great and fun wedding!

Action Jackson!

No, not the Carl Weathers movie of the same name. I had a quick family session this morning with some good friends of ours. Their little boy (Jackson) did a great job, even though the wind was starting to pick up quickly.

Walking with mommy:

The grandparents were in town!

A little Daddy/Jackson time:

Lou loves his dogs, so we worked them in too.

Great family!!

Trevor Gets Dunked!

Sunday was little Trevor’s baptism! We are so excited! What a fun time we had – breakfast at Chez Zee’s, the baptism, and then a little cake at home. The funniest part was that during the ceremony, Trevor’s pacifier fell into the holy water. It’s now a holy pacifier, and will be treated with respect (and probably placed in his scrapbook.. somehow).Trevor wore the same outfit that Brandon wore during his baptism. Which is the same outfit I wore many years ago!

Our friend Tricia is the Godmother:

And our friend Chris is the Godfather:

Here are the grandparents!

Let them eat cake.

Journeyman

I can’t help it. I am addicted to Journeyman. It’s probably my favorite show right now. Have you watched it? The premise is simple. Think “Quantum Leap” – guy discovers he travels back in time. Every time he travels back, he has a mission to accomplish (save people’s lives, etc). He takes 2 or 3 trips per episode to roughly the same time period. Every trip (so far) has been back to San Francisco (where he currently lives). This show rocks, but I’ve always been a time travel buff. Check it out Monday’s on NBC.You can also pick it up on iTunes I believe.

The Potty Mouth (Read First!)

Hide the kids – it looks like Brandon has trouble pronouncing certain words. To see what I mean, watch the video below. But if you are ‘profanity-adverse’, step away from the computer now! (Flash required)
