5D Mark 2 Test Video

by Eric on December 30, 2008

In case you have been living under a photographic rock these days, the new Canon 5D Mark 2 looks downright awesome. In addition to taking incredible pictures, it includes a video mode for making high-def movies. Now, I don’t think people will be replacing their camcorders and Flips for this (because it would still be a bulky/awkward solution), but the footage I found online below really shows off its power.

If you want to see the best quality version of this, click the HD button on the right side of the video when you hit the play button.

Check it out – what do you think? Is it great or what?

The 5D is on my list of “things to figure out how to afford”… HD video with the 85 1.2 would be too much fun :-)

This is great and all but where is your video?

Eric – so I know you are a Canon boy, but would this Mark II be compatible to the new D90? Did you just get this camera too???

Mark II right now is the be-all end all of DSLRs that shoot video, because it does 1080P. The D90, I *believe*, is 720p.

If you go to vimeo.com and a do a search for 5D Mark 2, you will find a bunch of videos up there! And yes, it’s now part of my camera arsenal!
