same problem as everybody else….how come? this product should came with an autorun setup…we’re photographers not computer geeks.

William – as I recall, the only to get the choice of transmitting raw or jpeg is if you are in the ftp mode (not the Liveview mode). Weird, I know.

I just brought a WFT-4A II transmitter. I managed to set it up for use with the EOS utility over a wireless infrastructure network. In this configuration it works fairly well except you can not chose between down loading raw or jpeg images to PC/MAC. You do get live view.

Unfortunately my operating suystem doesn’t support FTP and I haven’t beeen able to get it to work in the ADHOC/PTP mode yet. I need it in this mode since I don’t want to set up a network in my on location work.

I just googled the WFT-4 and came upon your sight. By any chance do you have any information getting the WFT-e4a to work on windows? I have a studio in my home and would like to us it with my PC. All I can find is infromation on installing it on a Mac,

Hi all, A guy called Julian Love has written a Blog on FTP to Mac. I haven’t tried it as I’m still agonising over getting the WFT-E4, but it looks comprehensive.

Hi Ricardo – I’m having the same problem. I received my WFT-e4 yesterday. I’m trying to connect using FTP to my macbook pro over an adhoc network. All I get is Error 41 and I don’t really understand the things it asks me to test in the manual.

I’ve been following the very detailed setup instructions here http://tinyurl.com/bqkj44 (it refers to the WFT-2 but it is almost identical to the
WFT-4)
