Photog.TV

Way back in 2011

In 2011, Google launched their Google Plus service and many of us jumped in to check out this new social network. In many ways, it has become a photographer’s network. Images are displayed in large sizes, and the photographer community there has blossomed like crazy.

Part of the Google Plus experience is something called a Hangout. It allows you to create a group video chat room where up to 10 people can join. I, along with Austin photographer Dustin Meyer, thought this new feature would be an excellent way to bring people together to discuss photography. Photog.TV was born.

Every Thursday at 12PM CST we start a hangout to discuss a photo topic or interview a guest. The hangout is both recorded for later viewing and streamed live via Goggle’s “On-Air” function as well as via Livestream. We’ve had some great guests join in: RC Concepcion and Pete Collins from NAPP, Trey Ratcliff, Erika Thornes, Scott Detweiller, and even super-famous (about to be famous-er) G+ singer Daria Musk among others!

Come Join Us

To be a part of the recorded hangout, just circle our Photog.TV page. Then, show up on G+ every Thursday. You’ll see the hangout start at 12PM CST. If you aren’t on Google Plus, you can always watch the show live at www.photog.tv (you can also watch prior episodes there).

We’ve had some great discussions, and I hope to see you there!
