Today I had the great opportunity to photograph a friend of mine, Thomas Singer. I met Thom at last year’s SXSW festival in Austin. He was one of the first people I followed on Twitter. It was funny when we met, because I had no picture attached to my Twitter account – he just had to be on the lookout for someone to meet!
Thom is an author of several books, including Some Assembly Required: How To Make, Grow and Keep Your Business Relationships. He frequently gives talks to businesses on improving their opportunities for success.
He needed some new headshots, but he also wanted some creative images that were more than standard-fare ambient light portrait images. Perfect for me! We started at a parking lot in downtown, and then moved to a concrete building near the lake.

Of course, we got the safe shots as well.

And then it was back to the craziness.

Eric…you are a great photographer to work with. I enjoyed the whole experience. Great photos. I look forward to seeing the whole batch.
I LOVE you titled you post “some jumping required” (as my book is called “Some Assembly Required”). Made me laugh
These are super cool. Very “E Doggish!”
Great photos! How cool! I didn’t know you did stuff like that. :-) Hope to see you at SXSW!
These are great Eric! I especially like the first and second “fun” portraits!
Nice job Eric. Those are some crazy-awesome headshots.
