For Friday, I am veering off into business speak, so bear with me :) Scott Shane, one of the popular authors when it comes to Entrepreneurship, just wrote a guest post on Guy Kawasaki's Blog titled The Top 10 Myths About Entrepreneurs. Some of them make sense, and others were a surprise. One myth is that most entrepreneurs start businesses in attractive industries. According to Scott, 'most entrepreneurs are picking industries in which they are most likely to fail.' For example, Scott says that you have an 840 times better chance of making the Inc. top 500 companies list if you start a computer company vs. opening a hotel! I wish there was somewhere to go to read about how various industries perform. If you know of such a site/listing, please leave a link in the comments!
